Terms of use

- RP Studio is a self-study British English practice tool. You must be 16 or over to create an account.
- Free accounts receive 1 new word and 1 machine-marked recording a day. Pro is a one-off payment of £25 that gives 5 new words and 5 machine-marked recordings a day for the life of the service. It is not a subscription.
- Machine marking is automated practice guidance. It is not a qualification, an accent certificate or a guarantee of progress, and it may be unavailable at times.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact us within 14 days and we will put it right or refund you. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Do not share your account, attempt to access other learners' data, or use automated tools to download the course. We may suspend accounts that do.
- Course content is provided for your personal study and may not be republished.
Privacy notice
What we store
- Account: your name, email address, a securely hashed password (or your Google account identifier), your plan and payment status.
- Learning profile: your setup answers (goals, preferences, time zone) and your lesson history and progress ticks.
- Payments: Stripe processes card details; we receive only a payment reference, amount and status.
Your recordings
- Recordings are saved in your own browser, not on our server.
- When you choose to have a recording marked, it is sent to our marking computer, converted to text by a speech recogniser, reviewed by a language model running on our own hardware, and then discarded. We do not keep the audio or the transcript.
- The administrator account can optionally use Google's Gemini service for its own recordings. Learner recordings are never sent to a cloud AI service.
Third parties
- Stripe (payments), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), Cloudflare (network delivery) and Microsoft's speech service, which generates the British reference voice from course text, never from your voice.
Your rights
- You can view and edit your answers in Settings and delete your account there at any time; this removes your account data from our server.
- For a copy of your data or any privacy question, contact . You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
